Dropped off the Books Today!

Just dropped off To be a Fly and Days Since... Xavier: Day 853 at The Booksellers on Fountain Square.  It took a while for the order to get filled with CreateSpace, but I was finally able to drop them off.  Stop in and get yourself a copy of my books and some coffee to enjoy them with.

Happy Memorial Day!

Thanks to all those who have served in the past to make my life better today.  While I did serve a tour of duty in Iraq, it was nothing compared to the horror stories of many others.  Once again, thank you to everyone who served before me and to those who will serve today, tomorrow and beyond.

Big Thanks!

Thank you so much to The Booksellers on Fountain Square in downtown Cincinnati for accepting Days Since...  I just ordered the copies to fill the order and can't wait to see it on the shelf.  The bookstore is locally owned and has its own cafe inside that serves drinks and food.  If you haven't been there, you definitely should check it out.  They have a collection of works by local authors and books about Cincinnati, along with everything else you would expect a good bookstore to have.  Go down there!!!

Editing for a friend.

My friend Craig Ball has finished his collection of short stories.  I'm "editing" it for him, which is taking a bit longer than I'm sure he wants it to.  I'm trying my best.  It's certainly not something that I'm completely qualified for, but I warned him ahead of time.  He just wants another set of eyes on it.  Some of the stories are serious, but most of them are extremely funny.  I can't wait to get it finished for him.  It will be his first published work.  I'll keep you posted when it comes out!

Happy Mother's Day!

Just dropping in for a quick post.  Thanks to all the mom's out there, especially to my own and to Lauren.  I appreciate you two for all you've done for me over the years.  I would not have been able to do all the things in my life without your support.  Thank you again!

AMS

Going to give it a shot on Amazon Marketing Services.  I've been doing a lot of research on how effective it is, and I think I have a decent idea of what I'm doing, but we'll see.  I just need to continue trying to get my book out there.  I'll probably do another big giveaway around the time Brendon's book comes out, and try to help drum up some business for both of us.  Here's hoping! I've now made it over 8000 words with my newest book--very excited with where it is going.  This one will have a lot more action than the last one.  I had to do a bit of world building in Day 853, but I've been able to press on with this one a bit more freely. I gave privileges to Brendon to write on this blog.  I wonder if he'll ever make an appearance...

Over 7000 words

This week wasn't as productive as I had hoped.  I did crest 7000 words, which is about all I could have asked for given how busy work was this week.  I'm happy with where the story is going and the pace its moving to get there.  Of course, this is a pretty bare draft and will easily be much more once I got back through it a few times.  I'm very excited to get there. Brendon's making progress on his book--more than half way through I suspect.  I've read what he has a few times and it's very good.  (Don't tell him that his head's already big enough!)  I hoping that his will be out in the next few months or so, and mine should follow shortly after that. If you've read Days Since... Xavier: Day 853, please leave a review.  I'm hoping to get more reviews before we start a real advertising campaign.  We've sold several copies and we're just waiting for people to finish it and post their thoughts. Thanks!
